We have been trailing with Becky for nearly 18 months now and absolutely love it. My dog was only 14 months old when we started, but I was absolutely amazed at how powerful a dog’s sense of smell is. She was set off on a short trail the first time and has never looked back since. She knows exactly what to do and gets on with it. Becky is brilliant, putting myself and my dog at ease, explaining things and encouraging all handlers to read and trust our dogs. Today we passed our basic 2 assessment and will now be training for advanced.
I can’t recommend trailing highly enough. Dogs love having a job to do and trailing makes them think and also develop a strong bond with their handlers. Give it go, you won’t be disappointed.
