Fabulous morning petrailing

I’ve been petrailing with Becky for several months now. My dog, Frank, is very nervous and can be reactive to other dogs. Becky has been really good at accommodating and adapting for Frank and myself on our trails.
We has a fabulous time yesterday morning at Talacre beach. It is always a bit unnerving going somewhere new with a reactive dog, but Becky made us feel comfortable and safe. Frank had an amazing time and even made a new friend with a fellow petrailer’s dog. The dogs had a great time cooling down in the sea after a hot morning trailing. Safe to say I will definitely be signing up for talacre again.

Help with finding missing bearded dragon

Thanks to Becky for her support when our bearded dragon went missing from our garden! She gave lots of useful tips to help us find him. Luckily he turned up safe and sound after 6 days missing! Thanks again Becky 🙂

Can not thank Pettrailer UK enough for helping me find my beautiful Luna who went missing. Becky was absolutely fantastic and gave up her time to help us every step of the way. She also helped us feel better during and after what was an emotional and stressful time. I can not thank Pettrailer UK enough, Luna is now back home, healthy and happy. Both Stanley and I live PetTrailing

Both me and Stanley just love Pettrailing. It gives us great opportunities to participate in an activity which challenges his nose and mind and it makes our bond stronger. We get to meet some great people and their dogs and it amazes me how quickly the dogs pick up on what is required of them to find the missing person or the lovely Mabel 🥰.
Bex Smith is an exceptional trainer and she caters for each dogs needs as required. Totally suitable for dogs which aren’t good with other dogs as each dog is trailed individually.
I would highly recommend giving Pettrailing a go, you’ll be addicted in no time! 😉

A fun, energetic way to bond with your dog

I have a rescue dog who is still learning what she likes and what she is good at. Pet trailing gives us time together where she can put her great sense of smell to the test.
She loves ‘playing the game’ and it really tires her out !
Totally recommend this to all dogs and owners – it’s something different and so much fun to do.

Lost dog advice

Becky was absolutely amazing with providing practical advice on how to lay a scent trail for Lucy the lost Welsh Terrier to find her way to safety. Luckily she was found on her 3rd night since she had gone missing.

Trailing is awesome

We have been trailing with Becky for nearly 18 months now and absolutely love it. My dog was only 14 months old when we started, but I was absolutely amazed at how powerful a dog’s sense of smell is. She was set off on a short trail the first time and has never looked back since. She knows exactly what to do and gets on with it. Becky is brilliant, putting myself and my dog at ease, explaining things and encouraging all handlers to read and trust our dogs. Today we passed our basic 2 assessment and will now be training for advanced.
I can’t recommend trailing highly enough. Dogs love having a job to do and trailing makes them think and also develop a strong bond with their handlers. Give it go, you won’t be disappointed.

Mabel helped us to locate our missing cat

I found Becky through a friend.
Our semi feral cat escaped from a crate outside My Pets Vets in Lowton. We only knew that Tiny had ran across the road, down a drive and past that we had no idea .
Becky came very quickly after the initial phone call, she was really lovely. We started our search from where Tiny escaped. Mabel picked up Tinys scent and took us round the back of some terraced houses. Sadly we reached fences so couldn’t go any further.
I knocked on a lot of doors around that specific area. A lady very kindly put biscuits in her back garden, which is where we got the first proper sighting.
Traps had been set. We did eventually trap Tiny about 9 days after Becks had been out with Mabel.
I’ve never felt so happy to see his beautiful face again.
Tiny is semi feral so it made it harder to find him.
The estate he ran onto is massive and Tiny could have been anywhere. The fact that Mabel picked up his scent about 100 yards from where we trapped him was a massive help.
As for us we knew he had stayed in that little area. Which meant we could put the traps in the right spot.
I can’t thank Becks and Mabel enough for all their help.

New lease on life

I, and my dog, Ruby, have been trailing with  Pettrailer UK for nearly 3 years. Trailing is undoubtedly the best thing I have ever done. The ability to work as a team with your dog to find missing animals or people is very rewarding. Becky is so enthusiastic about trailing, eagerly imparting her vast knowledge and experience to facilitate the formation of a unique and very special bond between dog and handler. Her calmness and patience allows even the most timid, or the most reactive of dogs to enjoy the task at hand, which in turn gives enormous satisfaction to their handlers.

Having passed two basic assessments and the advanced assessment, “team Ruby” is now looking forward to becoming professionally qualified during the next year.

The camaraderie and friendships I have made through trailing are second to none. As a retiree, I owe much to Becky, who has given me a new lease of life, which I can now enjoy with my best four legged friend, as a member of the Pettrailer ‘family’. Thank you Bex, keep it up!

“I have been trailing with Harley for almost 12 months now and we are both addicted!! As a dog who found being around other dogs unbearable, Harley is now able not only to search for other dogs but can carry on trailing when other dogs are in the vicinity!! Our bond has grown even deeper and I love how we both equally enjoy our sessions. Becky is a first class trainer who is encouraging, warm and supportive and jolly good fun. The group we trail with are an equally addicted and supportive bunch!! Shelby and I started Trailing about 15 months ago. It’s so rewarding to see Shelby in action, the mental concentration, the pleasure and fun he gets from scenting the trail and finding his reward. Becky is a brilliant trainer so knowledgeable I learn something new each trail. Not only do we trail, we have fun and laughs too!

Mickey’s first session was a great success. I was very surprised how quickly he picked up the trails and being a serial sniffer was definitely in his element! Becky was lovely and very knowledgeable. Hope we can make another session soon

Trail training is perfect for all dogs including reactive.

We started trailing training with Becky Easter 2022 after a recommendation from an behaviourist we had consulted with. Buddy our rescue GSD was reactive to other dogs and was always on the lookout for dogs and any creatures that ran !
We attended our first trail and Buddy loved it, I was dumbstruck by how he took to it.
He learned very quickly to use his nose and not his eyes to find lost (hidden) people and loves his reward at the end of the trails.
It is totally addictive and we go to as many training sessions as we can fit in, average 1 a month.
Buddy has got better & better at trailing for people & dogs – with no reactivity because he now has a job to do and he concentrates on that, walking past others with out any problem. Becky is a great trainer, very patient and helpful. I can not recommend trailing highly enough, you get to meet like minded people who respect your dogs boundary’s. Its fun and incredibly rewarding. Can not wait to be out trailing & hiding in obscure places soon 🙂

An amazing activity for a very energetic pup!

After having the PETTRAILER UK web link sent to me I am very happy to say that both myself and my very busy working line German shepherd have loved every session since day one.

When can we go again!!

Sab and I have been on our first Pettrailer adventure and we loved every minute! We can’t wait for some more opportunities. I was a bit apprehensive that neither he nor I would know what we were doing but Becky couldn’t have done any more to put us at ease and Sab threw himself into it with his usual spaniel curiosity and enthusiasm. It was a great fun to see him showing me what he can do and teaching me something new in the process. The whole group was so welcoming, friendly and supportive too. We will be back as soon as we can! I’ve had fabulous days out with Pettrailer UK in loads of exciting places I wouldn’t probably visit otherwise, meet great people all over the country and increased the bond with my dog and learnt to understand him more.
